Updates--It's Been Awhile

It has been a crazy busy summer this year. Went straight from being a pharmacy student to a pharmacist within a week from taking the boards in June, lots of wedding planning and attending weddings, having Jeff start school again & changing jobs this week. In the midst of all that, I have not had the chance to update my blog!

Here's a quick run-through...

August 8th: Brooke finally got hitched! It was a beautiful garden wedding in Colville, WA and Brooke looked gorgeous! I am so happy for the two...Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Pickering! :)

August 16th: Jeff's friend Aaron married his longtime girlfriend Sarrina at The Golf Club at Newcastle over this past weekend. Jeff was asked to do the photography and I was his assistant. I realized while I was assisting that taking pictures is a really hard job. The wedding was on the hottest day of the summer and I thought I was going to die from a heat stroke...but we managed to survive the looonnnnnnng day. It was fun attending this wedding because it gave us an idea of what our wedding day will be like, since we are having our reception in the same place. Congrats to those two as well!

As for me, I've been working for Walgreens at 2 of their Capitol Hill stores and then every other weekend at the Ballard store. It hasn't been too bad...although there are times where I hate it. But what job doesn't make you feel that way I guess. Other than work...I spend my free time wedding planning. Not my idea of fun, but it'll be over soon! We're coming closer to our wedding date, so we've been finalizing all the little details. I hope our wedding day turns out great (considering that I just spent a whole year planning it)!

Jeff is almost done with Summer quarter at the UW. He decided to jump into a whole different career path--Construction Management. I'm proud of him for starting up school again. I sure as hell wouldn't want to go back! He is starting a new job at Lease Crutcher and Lewis today and looked quite handsome in his new work clothes. :)

Well kids, that's all I have for now. Check out facebook for some pics taken from Jeff's friends wedding!

Viva Las Vegas

Just got home from a joint Bachelorette party weekend in Vegas with all my bestest girls. The trip was definitely drama-filled, but was a fun trip overall.  I deeply appreciate all the girls that were able to make it down for the event...Here's some pictures from the weekend. Enjoy!

P.S: I passed my board exams. I am now a licensed pharmacist. BOO-YAH! :)

I Need a Drink.

Well, the first of 2 tests begins tomorrow. EEK. On one hand, I just want to get the tests over and done with because I am utterly and disgustingly sick of studying. I can't even do it anymore. I hate it. I despise it. I wish it would go to hell. And then on the other hand, I'm scared to take it.

In some ways, this test determines how my life will go for the next few months--especially if I don't pass.  And THAT is scary. If you know me, then you would know that I get freakishly worried about these things. Oh how I wish I had some Xanax right now. Wish me luck, because I may need it!

The Shoes are In!

Annie finally received the shoes that I had picked out for the bridesmaids and they look darling with the bridesmaid dress. It's so cute that I wish I had the same dress and shoes. :) Here's a peek at what the bridesmaids will be wearing. The shoes are Caparros from DSW.com and the dress is from the Ann Taylor Celebrations collection.

Happy 99 Months!

WOW. It has really been 99 months since Jeff & I started dating. We always joked about getting married on our 100th month anniversary, but getting married on July 13th on a Sunday didn't seem right. So October 4th it is. Here's to many more months and years together!

Pretty Little Things

I have been searching for the perfect hair piece to wear on my wedding day and I instantly fell in love with this lovely floral piece while searching on weddingbee.com. You can purchase this from Mikiye Creations on Etsy.com.

Here are some earrings that I'm hoping to find elsewhere for a more decent price. Hmm..would look nice with the whole wedding dress ensemble. Maybe Jeff won't mind if I buy them. hehe.

And lastly...the shoes to go with the dress. LOVE THEM. If you only knew the hard work it took to find these shoes in the size I needed. I love you Zappos.com.

My First Ever Blog

I thought that blogging would be a good way to keep everyone posted on what was going on in my ever so exciting life. Life has been pretty busy for the past year. I finally graduated from WSU Pharmacy school...currently studying for the boards (shoot me please) and planning a wedding. Arrgh. I'm pretty sure I've taken a few years off my life due to the stress I'm under right now. Can't wait to be done with the boards **crossing fingers** that I pass!

On to more exciting things...like

VEGAS BACHELORETTE PARTY TIME!

Brooke & I are having a joint bachelorette party in Vegas at the end of June & it's the only thing that I have to look forward to (while I'm cramming away). So far, I know we're having dinner at Trevi, which is at Caeser's Palace and then the other fun stuff is in the hands of my little sis Annie. I'll post pics when I get back from that trip. Should be awesome.
